We've seen plenty of freak injuries over the years. But, this one is going to be hard to top.

Earlier today, Texas Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus was scratched from the team's lineup for a Cactus League game after experiencing pain in his left bicep caused by—get this—a new tattoo. Andrus had a large tattoo inked on his left arm earlier this week (check it out in the thumbs gallery above) and didn't feel as though he could play through the pain it was still causing him. Somewhat curiously, his coach didn't seem to care.

"Elvis has been working hard," Rangers manager Ron Washington said, "and having another off day isn't going to hurt him. He'll be ready tomorrow."

Or, will he? This guy picked a hell of a time to get his entire arm covered with a tattoo, didn't he?
