Take that, Prez!

Over the weekend, President Obama revealed that, if he had a son, he would have to think "long and hard" before allowing him to put on pads to play football. He said that he wouldn't want to see his son suffer from the concussion problem that has plagued the NFL in recent years. So, yesterday, 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh was asked to respond to the President's comments. And, he issued a very entertaining response to the Commander in Chief.

"Well, I have a 4-month-old, soon-to-be-5-month-old son, Jack Harbaugh," he said. "If President Obama feels that way, then there will be a little less competition for Jack Harbaugh for when he gets old enough. That's the first thing that jumps in my mind if other parents are thinking that way."

Ha. Harbaugh didn't stop there, though. He also predicted, because of his son's head size, he's going to be talented on the football field.

"It's still early," he said. "Jack, like I said, is only five months old. But, he's a really big kid. He's got an enormous head…As soon as he grows into that head, he's going to be something. It's early, but expectations are high for young Jack."

Double ha. The kid isn't even a year old yet! Hell, he isn't even half a year old yet! And, Harbaugh is already drawing up plays for him!

But, we guess that settles that debate. Even though the NFL is dangerous, not all parents are going to deter their kids from attempting to play in it in the future. So, unlike Bernard Pollard, we don't think the league is going anywhere anytime soon.
