Ford Ends 2012 On Top of Global Auto Sales

2.2 million sold.

None

When the final bell tolls, Ford Motor Co. expects 2012 sales to ring in to the tune of 2.2 million. The big winner is the Ford Focus, expected to claim best-selling global status nameplate. Once world leader, the Toyota Corolla has fallen, and Detroit's motoring dominance doesn't stop at the Focus. The F-Series truck ranks as the fourth biggest global seller and the Fiesta the fifth. And, the largest single selling global brand is General Motors, when all its collective bands are considered.

With the renewal of the Lincoln Motor Company, we can expect Ford to broaden its reach even further in 2013.
