In early December, a video surfaced of Derrick Rose running sprints at the Bulls' practice facility. It was an encouraging sign for someone recovering from a serious ACL injury and possibly one that got fans thinking that a return for Rose was on the horizon. Well, you may want to temper those hopes because, according to the team's head coach Tom Thibodeau, the 24-year-old point guard is still a ways away from getting back on the court.

“He’s right where he’s always been,” coach Tom Thibodeau said on Sunday, via the Chicago Sun-Times. “Each week he’ll do a little bit more. He’s doing more basketball stuff, but he’s still not anywhere close to playing. He’s got a long way to go for that.

It's probably not something Bulls fans want to hear, but it is looking like Chicago will be without Rose for the entire regular season. Yikes!
