Are you as confused about the whole "Manti Te'o's dead girlfriend is a hoax" story as we are right now? Of course you are. It makes absolutely no sense, and just about every single new detail that comes out about it only makes it more and more confusing. Hopefully, Te'o himself will come out today and speak about it and shine some light on what really happened to him. But, for now, there's only confusion. Lots and lots of confusion. And, the latest story surrounding the hoax is the most confusing thing yet.

According to Reagan Mauia, a fullback for the Arizona Cardinals, Te'o's "girlfriend" Lennay Kekua is not a fictional, made-up character. She's real. And, how does Mauia know this? Well, because he claims that he actually met her in American Samoa back in June 2011 when he was doing some charity work there.

"This was before her and Manti," he told ESPN last night. "I don't think Manti was even in the picture, but she and I became good friends. We would talk off and on, just checking up on each other kind of thing. I am close to her family. When she was going through the loss of her father, I was—I offered a comforting shoulder and just someone to bounce her emotions off. That was just from meeting her in Samoa."

Mauia also went on to describe exactly what Kekua looked like. "She was tall," he said. "Volleyball-type of physique. She was athletic, tall, beautiful. Long hair. Polynesian. She looked like a model…She is real."

If you weren't confused before, there's no doubt that you're confused as hell now. WTF?!?!?
