Since 2010, one of the greatest American muscle car franchises has been built in...wait for it...Canada. Chevy's plant in Oshawa, Ontario has been handling duties in the production of the Camaro (where the car is built alongside the Cadillac XTS and Buick Regal). The lone rear-wheel-drive vehicle at Oshawa will shift homes to the Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant in Lansing, MI.
Reports, rightfully, suggest that the Canadians are a little peeved—GM's had constant battles with the Canadian Auto Workers Union since the 2009 bailout—but they'll be getting the new Impala (potentially) in its place.
The next generation Camaro will begin U.S. production soon.
