Every boxing fan knows about Larry Merchant. For the last 35 years, Merchant has been a spirited analyst who put in his two cents with his own scorecard during a bout and sometimes, he was a little too involved inside the ring, especially when it came to his consistent feud with Floyd Mayweather, Jr. Of course, their bickering reached its pinnacle when Larry told Floyd, "If I were 50 years younger, I would kick your ass" after Mayweather landed a much debated knockout punch to Victor Ortiz in 2011.

Even though Merchant did say that he would serve as a "senior kibitzer who will parachute in from time to time," his role as ringside analyst for HBO will come to an end on Saturday when he calls the Nonito Donaire-Jorge Arce super bantamweight title bout.

Max Kellerman will take on the task of filling Merchant's shoes.
