This is How Much Work Goes Into Making One Porsche Badge (Video)

Fulfilling cultural stereotypes in a good way.

Porsche created this video to show off the company's anal-retentiveness attention to detail by focusing on one, largely insignificant, part of the car. Despite the obvious play for our favor, by making this in the first place, and then scoring it as if it were the climactic scene of a Ridley Scott epic, it's still pretty cool. These crests are replicas of the original Porsche crest that was emblazoned on the Type 356 in 1952.

We like anything that, on expensive cars, is still done by craftsmen. Robots are fine for run-of-the-mill Fiestas and Rios, but for expensive sports cars, we love seeing this kind of craftsmanship.
