Earlier today, we told you about how Grinnell College guard Jack Taylordropped a record 138 points last night. We also told you about how Kevin Durant reacted to it. And now, the reactions of other NBA players are coming out, too.

Our favorite by far is the reaction of Kobe Bryant. Having scored 81 points in a game once, KB24 knows about putting up impressive box score numbers. But, even he sounded genuinely surprised and impressed when he heard about the feat from ESPN reporter Dave McMenamin late last night.

REPORTER: Kobe, a college kid scored 138 points tonight and took over 100 shots.

KB: Wow…No kidding? Where?

REPORTER: Grinnell College in Iowa.

KB: Really? Wow. That's impressive. That's crazy. I don't care what level you're at. Scoring 138 points is pretty insane. How many 3s did he shoot?

REPORTER: 71.

KB: Holy shit! How many points did they score as a team?

REPORTER: 179.

KB: What?!

REPORTER: No other starter had double figures.

KB: That's incredible.

REPORTER: Dude on the other team scored 71 points and lost.

KB: That's amazing. He must have been wearing the Mambas, man. Only Mambas have no conscious to shoot the ball like that. [Ed. note: HAHAHAHAHA!]

REPORTER: If you did that, would people be celebrating you?

KB: Would people be celebrating me if I scored 138 points? You know how it is, some people would, some people wouldn't. They can all kiss my ass, as I'm sure he feels the same way. If you score 138 points, you kind of have a license to tell people to fuck off.

Leave it up to Kobe to put this whole situation into the proper perspective. Now, how long is it gonna be before he tries to go for 138 in Mike D'Antoni's system? Stay tuned.
