How's this for creative? Car enthusiast Paul Grusche turned his 1978 Porsche 928 into a driving tribute to the automobile itself. The Dexter, Michigan-native couldn't afford to fully restore the scruffy ground tourer, so he decided to turn it into an art car. He's an avid car magazine reader, and something of a Porsche historian, so rather than hit the body with paint he gave it a bit of history.
Grusche's 928 carries a full complimented of reprinted coverage from 1978—all the original, glowing media coverage including Car & Driver's 1977 cover reading "The Best Porsche Ever!"
This, in our eyes, is one of the best art cars ever. Beautifully thought out as an homage to the heritage of a legendary automobile.
