When we first saw that this video existed, we were already impressed by the Tesla Model S. The fact that it's fast enough to even warrant competition with the reigning champion of the fast full-size battles, the BMW M5. Electric cars do have the advantage of having 100% torque available at zero RPMs, but the M5 is the latest iteration of a legend, and boasts an impressive 560 horsepower and 500 ft-lbs of torque, which gives it a massive 144hp and 57 ft-lb of torque advantage over the electric car. But you'll have to watch the video to see which car wins.

What we think is funny is that we're talking about a car with fake engine noise (the BMW M5's speakers pump synthetic "vroom" into the car) versus a car with no engine noise (the Tesla).
