Created by designers Marcelo Ertorteguy and Sara Valente for the Summer Streets 2012 celebration presented by New York City’s Department of Transportation, the "Cyclo-Phone" is a pedal-powered musical instrument. Composed of a rubber flap attached to the rim of a bicycle, eight PVC pipes, and held together by a plastic stock tank, the installation was active on the streets of NYC throughout August.
