David S. Yassky, the Taxi and Limousine Commission Chairman, must be watching too much Gossip Girl. He and his people have decided to lop off the "axi" part from the "NYC Taxi" labels on the side of New York City cabs, as well as the marked cab fair, which is coincidentally going up in September. The side of the yellow cars and small SUVs will now read "NYC T." To all the people that are going to complain that they won't be able to identify a taxi, just shut up. Flag down the bright yellow car.
