Sports and car sponsorships mix. The latest, and biggest, move in the New York market is a strategic marketing agreement between Honda and the Brooklyn Nets, with powerful connection to the team's new home, the Barclays Center. The deal is the first-ever major sponsorship for Honda of a sporting venue on the East Coast. 

The deal also ties in sponsorship of the “Brooklyn Hoops” Winter Festival college basketball tripleheader including Michigan vs. West Virginia, St. John’s vs. St. Francis of Brooklyn and Fordham vs. Princeton, on Saturday, December 15. [The Detroit Bureau]
