Ford is hoping to improve their customer's experience when on the showroom floor with its new iPad application called Showcase. In regards to discussing a new vehicle with a customer, a large desktop computer can be seen as a barrier between the two parties, causing a "my side, your side" feel.

With the iPad, sales men and women can carry around videos displaying car features, inventory, and production information all on one convenient mobile device. Razorfish helped create the app, which builds on Ford's online site, and made it so the customer can personalize a car right there on the iPad and find prices and availability without having to go back to desk. More than 200 dealerships have already signed up for the program.
