The government has finalized the biggest increase in the Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) since 1978. That was the original date when the muscle car virtually went extinct like the dinosaurs. Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne says muscle car,s such as the Hemi-V8-powered Dodge Challenger will become "as rare as white flies." The fuel economy of all vehicles will double from now through 2025 to a whopping 54.5 mpg, One analyst says that the cars on the road by 2025 “will change less than anybody imagines – but more than anyone wants."  As a result, we can predict that cars will be slightly more expensive and much less cool.
