Some people believe that the location of the penalty kick is too close. If ask the FC Red Bulls Salzburg' Jonathan Soriano, he would probably be the first person to support the idea of moving back the spot of the ball and he'd probably suggest moving it to, like, midfield. With his team down to Rapid Vienna, 2-0, Soriano was fouled inside the box and the refs awarded him with a penalty. Given the opportunity to cut into the lead with 10+ minutes, all the forward had to do was get the ball past the goalkeeper from 12 yards away. And, he did get it by the goaltender...but does sailing the ball over his head count?
