Hard to believe, but BMW hasn't pushed a new 3-series body type since 1994. That year the German automaker pushed out the Compact, a short-lived style, and now, some 18 years later, we're on the verge of a new five-door hatch back. Autocar has rendered the vehicle, which you see above, set for debut at the Paris motor show and likely to hit sales floors in the beginning of 2013.
The car will be built on a long-wheelbase and marketed as a family car.
