Apparently this crash set the world record for surviving the fastest crash into a stationary object at 280 mph. We're sure that's in the running for the least desirable record in the book.

Whether or not this guy knew what he was doing when the bike began to jump, it's a scary situation just to watch. Holding on for his life results in putting it further in danger.

If you watched this video with the sound on, we apologize. The song is super fruity, but the footage is good. Miraculously, both drivers were fine. Unfortunately for the sport, Gary Scelzi, Top Fuel champion, promptly switched to funny cars after this and never raced Top Fuel again.

It's hard to believe the driver of the S2000 walked away without any serious injury in this one. Sometimes trying to avoid a crash leads to an even scarier situation.

This is even more painful watching such an older classic go down, but the slow motion playback gives an awesome breakdown. We would have to agree this was definitely "the ultimate shoebox nightmare."
