Erin Toughill learned kickboxing at the age of 18, started practicing Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and blossomed into a multi-tasking badass. Not only is she a longtime MMA star, having made her pro debut in 1999, she also pursued a professional boxing career (8 wins, 2 losses) concurrent with her MMA run and appeared on American Gladiators as Steel.
Toughhill retired in 2009, then came back in 2011 to face Ashley Sanchez. Although she lost the match, she had a kidney infection and probably shouldn't have been fighting at all. Whether the world will see Toughill get in the cage again remains to be seen.
