Since the All-Star break, just about everything has gone right for the New York Yankees. So, it was only a matter of time before their lucky streak was snapped. And, that time came last night when Alex Rodriguez suffered a broken hand in the top of the eighth inning after getting hit by a pitch thrown by Seattle Mariners ace Felix Hernandez.
"It's a tough blow," A-Rod said after the game. "I never thought it was a fracture, but it was."
Indeed, it was. And, it'll keep A-Rod out of the lineup for up to eight weeks. Get well soon, son.
