Almost as rare as the Venus transit happening today is a space shuttle transiting the New York City skyline. The Space Shuttle Enterprise, named justly after the Star Trek ship, made its voyage across the New York Harbor on a barge from John F. Kennedy Airport to the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum, where it will lie for the rest of its life. On the way, it made for a beautiful picture, crossing the water as it passed Manhattan's skyline in the background.
