President Obama knows sports. That's not exactly a secret. So, you'd think he would have an opinion about the 2012 NBA Finals featuring the Miami Heat and the Oklahoma City Thunder. But, yesterday, the Commander-in-Chief was asked which team he thinks will win the NBA title this year. And, he refused to give a straight answer.

"Both teams look terrific," he said, "and I am looking forward to a good series. Hopefully, it will go to seven games. But, I can't make a prediction right now. They both look pretty tough."

Translation: "It's an election year. Oklahoma loves the Republican Party. Florida is a swing state. And, well, this is bigger than basketball. So, ask me again next year and I'll give you a real prediction."

Well played, Mr. President.
