Khloe Kardashian Thinks Her Marriage to Lamar Odom Will Be Saved If He Makes the Olympic Basketball Team

Bad news, Khloe: He's still a longshot.

None

You should take this story with a grain of salt for two reasons: One, Khloe Kardashian hasn't actually gone on the record and said that Lamar Odom has to make the Olympic basketball team to save his marriage. And, two, we were under the impression that Odom is a very, very longshot to make the U.S. Olympic team after his poor showing in Dallas during the 2011-2012 NBA season. But, according to Radar Online, Khloe has allegedly told some friends that she thinks Lamar could give his NBA career a much-needed second life if he makes the Olympic squad this summer, which, in turn, would help him save his marriage to her.

"Khloe is telling friends that Lamar must make the Olympic team—for the sake of his career and their future together," a source told Radar. "He has been training non-stop to get in the best shape possible and will do anything to make the cut. Lamar has tremendous respect for the Olympic head coach Mike Krzyewski, and he knows what he has to do to get ready. Khloe is also training with Lamar to give him confidence and she is really being as supportive as she can."

And, why is she being so supportive? Simple. "Khloe thinks the best way for Lamar to get a new deal with an NBA team is if pro coaches were to see how he performs at the Olympics," the source told Radar. "Lamar would love to sign a new deal with either the Lakers or Clippers, because Los Angeles is his home. But, he loves the game so much that he will go where he is needed. Lamar isn't ready to retire, period."

Sounds like Khloe isn't ready for him to retire, either. We just hope she's whistling that same tune when he's playing for the Raptors, Bobcats, or, hell, any team that doesn't play at the Staples Center. The reality show might be over for these two. But, the saga continues...
