The North Carolina Tar Heels may have won the battle and lost the war yesterday. The No. 1-seeded Heels beat Creighton in the second round of the NCAA Tournament soundly. But they also lost their point guard Kendall Marshall to a fractured wrist during the second half game as well. And the news out of Chapel Hill for Marshall's immediate future doesn't appear to be good, according to Jeff Goodman of CBS Sports.

Just spoke with Dennis Marshall -- Kendall's father. Confirmed surgery scheduled for tomorrow morning to insert screw in non-shooting wrist.

Or, in other words, if you have UNC winning the NCAA championship this year, tear up your bracket! Because barring a miracle that allows Marshall to play—and, more importantly, to play effectively—UNC is in trouble without him.
