A newly-opened connection between the Montour Trail, the longest suburban trail in the nation, and Pittsburgh International Airport will allow cyclists to travel directly to and from the airport via bike. The Montour Trail connects to the Great Allegheny Passage (GAP), which stretches from Pittsburgh to Washington, DC, and is expected to increase tourism in the area. The county is also working to build more connections to existing trails, a giant leap for cycling infrastructure in the increasingly bike-friendly city.
