The Miami Dolphins have had one hell of a month. And not in a good way. They got rid of Chad Henne, missed out on Peyton Manning and Matt Flynn, and gave away their most potent offensive weapon in Brandon Marshall. Even quarterbacks like Kyle Orton and Brady Quinn were scooped up. So, who is their big-name offseason free agent signing? A quarterback that didn't play a single down last season, former Jaguar David Garrard

According to Fox Sports NFL Insider Jay Glazer, Garrard texted him that he was officially a Dolphin. NFL Insider Jason Canfora confirmed it is a one-year deal. Garrard, who missed last season due to a back injury, compiled a 39-37 record as a starter from 2005-2010 for the Jaguars. Coming to Miami, he expects to compete with Matt Moore for the job. Now that both the Dolphins and Seahawks have signed quarterbacks, it seems that QB Alex Smith will likely be going back to San Francisco.
