The beauty of music is that it can be made from anything. Something that is heard individually like a car alarm or directional signal can be mixed into a song with the right combination of other sounds. This was the idea behind Yorkshire composer Mark Marrington's latest work. He took a handful of annoying car sounds and turned them into a single slightly less annoying track. Marrington calls it "dance music with a vehicular twist" that "reflects our ongoing desire to tame our nature and organize it in a way which renders impotent its capacity to disturb us." He went on to say that after working on the song for three months, he now is delighted to hear such sounds, claiming they are a rewarding musical experience. We wish we could agree. Check out the song below.
