Prison inmates who are about to be executed have said some pretty crazy things over the years. Just check out this list of famous "last words" to see what we're talking about. But Texas inmate Jesse Joe Hernandez took things to a whole new level yesterday.

Hernandez—who was sentenced to die for killing a 10-month-old boy 11 years ago—was given a lethal injection late yesterday afternoon at a prison in Dallas. And, shortly after receiving it, he said, "God bless everybody. Continue to walk with God."

But, he didn't stop there. Before taking his final breath, Hernandez also had one other message for the world. That message? "Go Cowboys!"

Go Cowboys, man? Sigh. What a sad ending to what sounds like an incredibly sad story.
