The Nets want Dwight Howard. How bad? Well, bad enough to try everything in the book to impress him during the Nets/Magic game last night. They pulled out a bunch of pyrotechnics for pre-game introductions. They lowered their ticket prices and offered free vouchers to a future Nets game to make sure people showed up. And they even stuck this poster, which features a recent Wall Street Journal with a story about Jay-Z, in front of the visiting team's locker room where we're sure Howard could see it.

Can you really blame them? Howard is their only chance of maintaining some sort of relevancy over the course of the next ten years guy. They want him to sign a contract with them in the offseason. And they're clearly willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen. Even if it means using their celebrity owner to do it.
