He was there to play ball, not do the Dougie.

It was almost comical to watch Derrick Rose during the 2012 All-Star Game player introductions the other night. There has was, stone-faced and ready to get the game started, while LeBron James stood just a few feet in front of him dancing all over the stage and trying to get the crowd excited. Talk about taking two totally different approaches to a basketball game.

But, some people out there apparently didn't like the fact that D-Rose didn't look like he was having fun at the game. So, ESPN Chicago took the time to ask him why he didn't join his fellow Eastern Conference All-Stars in showing off a few dance moves.

"I can dance," he said. "But there's a time and place for that and I don't think it was right, then and there...You just know that's me, man. If you would have saw me out there dancing, you would have been looking at me different. I'm just me. I can't be anybody else. I think that's what people see."

During the course of the same interview, Rose also admitted that he doesn't particularly enjoy playing in exhibition games like the All-Star Game. As if you couldn't tell. "Not at all," he said. "You know this is not my game at all."

At least it's over now and it's time to get back to business on the court, son. Just promise us you'll show off a few moves if the Bulls go to the NBA Finals this year. Deal?
