Aston Martin V12 Zagato Hits Production

It looks pretty similar to the prototype.

The concept Zagato was unleashed in May 2011 as a 50th anniversary homage to the DB4GT Zagato and won the Concorso D'Eleganza Design Award at Villa D'Este in Italy. In June the prototype took to the streets and covered 3,700 miles in the Nürburgring 24-hour race. Now, after thousands of hours of testing and numerous prototypes, Aston Martin finally signed off on the final design which you see above.

There will only be 150 Zagatos made, each hand-built and taking about 2,000 hours of construction. The bonnet, the double-bubble roof and doors are aluminium, and the front and rear fenders, door sills and boot lid surround are carbon fiber. The exclusive ride is set around $500,000 and is set to be delivered in Autumn 2012.
