Vehicle: 1980 Vanguard Comuta-Car
Complex Says: In response to the fuel crisis in the early '70s, a Florida company called Sebring-Vanguard designed the CitiCar, which looked very similar to the Comuta-Car you see above. The company was broken apart and sold at the end of the decade, and the updated Comuta-Car was produced until 1982. It looks a bit like a doorstop. But it's an historic doorstop in the evolution of electric cars.
