Miami Marlins Offer Albert Pujols a 10-Year Contract

Is there a new Dream Team forming in South Florida?

None

Two days after announcing the signing of Jose Reyes, and a day after introducing new All-Star closer Heath Bell, the new-lookMiami Marlins have reportedly offered a $220 million-plus/10-year offer to St. Louis Cardinals first basemen Albert Pujols. The 10-year offer is significant, because Pujols had sought a contract of that length last spring training in negotiations with the Cardinals, but St. Louis declined to commit to him for that long. An All-Star closer, the reigning National League batting champion, and now possibly the best player ever? It's overused these days, but, yes, that shit cray!
