Know who's not happy with David Stern right now? Er, everyone? Well, yeah. But know who's really not happy with David Stern right now? Kevin Garnett. And during an intense media session yesterday, KG let his feelings about the NBA Commish be known.
"I think what you see, we're a rushed league right now," KG said, referring to the fact that players have only had a couple of weeks to prepare for the start of the NBA season this year. "Everybody is paying attention to the Chris Paul situation. But I don't know why everyone's shocked, because [David] Stern has been pretty adamant about when he wants to do things and how he does things."
Shots fired. The Celtics forward didn't stop there, though. He also went on to explain how Stern's decision to rush things along in order to start the season on Christmas Day is going to impact different teams around the league.
"Timing is everything," he said. "Chemistry is something that you don't just throw in the frying pan and mix it up with another something, then fry it up and put it on a tortilla and put it in a microwave, heat it up and give it to you and expect it to taste good. You know? For those of you who can cook, y'all know what I'm talking about. If y'all can't cook, this doesn't concern you."
Hmmm...You almost lost us there. But we think we get it. You're concerned about the Celtics team chemistry. You wish you had more time to practice with the team before the season started. And you're blaming it all on David Stern. Gotcha, KG!
