The Vikings are in one of the worst positions of any team in the NFL. Their only legitimately great player on offense just went down with ACL and MCL tears, possibly the worst injuries a running back can suffer, your once-promising quarterback has seemed to digress over the second half of the season, and playing a beatable Chicago Bears team next week means their draft position might be bumped down. The only positives that have come out of this mess are the facts that backups Joe Webb and Toby Gerhart seem to be more than capable of filling in at their positions. Adrian Peterson, who was given a seven-year, $100 million contract before the season, is expected to need nine months to fully recover, meaning he might miss the beginning of next season. —Tony Markovich
