NBA Players and Owners Reach Agreement to End Lockout

The season begins Christmas Day.

Just after 3 a.m. this morning, NBA players and owners reached a tentative handshake deal to end the five-month lockout. The deal must still be ratified by a majority of both owners and players. Under the terms of the agreement, training camps would start December 9, with a 66-game regular season beginning with three great games on Christmas Day: the Celtics at the Knicks, Heat at the Mavericks, and the Bulls at the Lakers. The deal includes a 50-50 revenue split, and a bunch of other stuff we really don't give a damn about right now. No more browsing Playboy pictorials, the NBA is back!
