A Mexican Soccer Team Wants to Pay David Beckham a Fortune to Play For Them Next Year

Just what Becks needs: More money!

None

David Beckham is rich. Rich as hell. Yet, he stands to get even richer in early 2012 when he decides where to play soccer now that his MLS contract with the Los Angeles Galaxy is basically finished. Teams are already starting to line and offer him, well, whatever he wants to come and play for them. And the craziest offer so far comes from Mexican club Xoloitzcuintles Tijuana. They've offered Becks approximately $10 million to play for them for the first six months of next year. But they didn't stop there. They also offered to fly him to and from all games via private jet.

Not a bad gig, eh? At least until you consider that Mexico has the 20th highest murder rate in the world in the last decade and that the father of the club's owner just got arrested at his house recently and was found to be in possession of 40 rifles, 48 handguns, 9,000 rounds of ammunition, and a gas grenade. Hmmm...Thanks, but no thanks. We're sure there's gotta be a better safer deal out there for you, Becks.
