The NBA Is About To Cancel Another Set of Games

Make it a full month that's gone.

The avalanche continues to crash forward, rumbling closer to demolishing the entire NBA season at the bottom. According to the New York Daily News, the multi-day discussions accomplished nothing and the NBA is cancelling two more weeks of the season. The two weeks include 102 games and push the first possible start date at Nov. 28.

The league continues to push for a 50-50 deal, which the players are absolutely not willing to agree to. Commissioner David Stern has stated that even if the season were to be saved, it would be pushed back at best 28 more days to finalize everything in writing, hold free agency, and conduct short training camps. With that news, it appears that the Christmas games are out of the picture, so it's a good thing that the Packers and Lions game on Thanksgiving will actually hold playoff implications.
