Since 2009, Jennifer Green and Misa Chien, two UCLA grads with a shared love of Vietnamese cuisine, have brought Banh Mi, Vietnamese baguette sandwiches, to the L.A. masses. Nom Nom was featured on The Food Network's “The Great Food Truck Race” and recently expanded to include a second truck in San Francisco. Upon tasting the popular Honey-Grilled Pork Banh Mi or the Red Curry Paste Sloppy Banh Mi, you'll understand all the hype. And the prices are totally affordable: a foot-long Bahn Mi will run you $5-6. The Vietnamese tacos, second fiddle but still tasty, cost $2.50 a piece. Opt for the combo and get a foot-long sandwich, taco and drink for $10.
