Talk about divine intervention. Josh Hamilton was yet to hit a home run in the MLB postseason last night when he walked up to the batter's box in the 10th inning with the score of the game tied 7-7. According to Hamilton, God spoke to him in that brief moment and told him he was about to hit a home run.

"He said, 'You haven't hit one in awhile and this is the time you're going to,'" says Hamilton. "But there was a period at the end of that. He didn't say, 'You're going to hit it and you're going to win.' I was walking to the plate...And [it happened] as I was brushing dirt in the batter's box. Very cool. Y'all ought to try it sometime...I probably had the most relaxed, peaceful at-bat I've had the whole series at that moment."

Hamilton hit the home run. But the Cards eventually fought back and won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning by a score of 10-9. And, if you missed it? Well, you missed one of the greatest World Series game in the history of baseball. All thanks to the big guy in the sky. [via The Dallas Morning News]
