Portland, Oregon company Alta Bicycle Share was recently selected by the offices of New York City's mayor to implement and manage a comprehensive bike sharing program for the city, with a total of 600 rental stations and 10,000 bicycles to be funded by private sponsorship. With successful programs in cities all over the world the company proves to be an excellent choice to enact the NYC Bike Share program, scheduled to be rolled out with a date of summer of 2012.
