Gallery: The Cars of HBO's Boardwalk Empire

WIth tonight's premier of the HBO prohibition era drama series, Boardwalk Empire bringing the 1920's gangster allure back into our lives, we decided to take a quick look at some of the rides from the show. We of course checked out boss Nucky Thompson's wheels along with those belonging to his friends, enemies and other period correct rides. Check out some of the vehicles from the hit series which happens to be set near the start of automotive history. 

Clearly the most popular car on the show (although there were not to many types of cars in the time where the show is set), here is a Ford Model-T. This one is a touring car from 1922 spotted during a shoot in Manhattan. 

Customized for filming, this truck has been slapped with the labels of the fictitious Municpal Cole Company. The shoot on this particular day took place in the Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn, New York. 

This Ford Model-T was spotted during a shoot near Central Park in NYC. The period correct car was covered with custom decals for A&K Feed and Grain.

The infamous Al Capone has slowly risen in the ranks since the start of last season but our first impression of him on the drama series was as the late Jimmy Torrio's driver. As the notorious real life gangster often did, Al rides between Chicago and Atlantic city in a Packard. This one is a 1922 single six model no. 126. 

Check out this alternate version of Nucky Thompson's 1920's Rolls Royce used in the pilot episode of the show. This K.R.I.T. Model A went on the auction block earlier this year with a strating bid of $30,000. A vehicle like this would have typically cost around $2,000 in the 1920's.

Fans of the HBO drama will recognize this classic car as the ride of New York rackateer king, Arnold Rothstein. The car is a 1921 Paige Larchmont II 6-66 American made convertibe. 

The boss hog of Atlantic City, Nucky Thompson has the most recognizable wheels on set. His 1920 Rolls-Royce 7 passenger Silver Ghost with it's aqua blue exterior is the coolest looking and most baller car on the boardwalk.
