The NCAA has handed down its first set of penalties for 12 Miami Hurricane players who accepted benefits from former booster, Nevin Shapiro. Eight players—including quarterback Jacory Harris and standout safety Ray-Ray Armstrong—received suspensions ranging from one to six games. The last bowl game won by the 'Canes was the 2006 MPC Computers Bowl (...yeah, us neither). With more NCAA sanctions likely to come down as the investigation continues, their chances of a bowl game win this season aren't looking good either. Well, at least Miami fans can take pride in their squad having some of the most badass teams in college football history and the ultimate co-sign from Uncle Luke. [via ESPN]
