Just like he did in this year's NBA playoffs, Paul Pierce is going home from the main event at the World Series of Poker a whole lot earlier than he'd like. After making it through day one at the WSOP in Las Vegas, Pierce got knocked out of the tournament late last night during day two after going all-in with a pair of 2's. He got a nice round of applause as he exited—but not the WSOP bracelet or the $8.7 million in prize money he was hoping to leave with this year.

Oh well. With the NBA lockout in full effect, you've got plenty of time to go home and practice, dude. [via ESPN]
