It's Electric: Battery Powered '96 Corvette

Remember Tim Allen’s “More power” grunt from his Home Improvement show? Well, this is the complete total opposite. A man (we’ll use that term loosely) from California decided to strip his ‘96 ‘Vette of it’s loud, beautiful, supercharged engine and swapped it for 18 XS Power XP1000 batteries, a DC electric motor and six-speed manual transmission. The Car now tops off at 85 mph and has a “spirited driving” range of 20 mph. Don’t get us wrong, we’re all for saving the earth and what-not as much as the next person but the line needs to be drawn somewhere.
