In the grand scheme of things, Avril Lavigne is a pretty safe choice if you're trying to put together a concert at a Major League Baseball game. She might act tough—but you're not exactly getting an Odd Future-esque performance when she takes the stage. So the Tampa Bay Rays thought they were good to go last Saturday night when she arrived at Tropicana Field to perform as part of a concert series they're holding this season. Except, well, they apparently weren't.
After being handed not one but two broken mics, Avril let off a stream of obscenities (catch her yelling, "This fucking happens at a baseball field!" in the clip above) and caught hell from the boo birds in the crowd as a result of it. Damn—folks are touchy down there in Tampa, eh? [via theScore]
