Donald Trump Will Not Drive the Indy 500 Pace Car

Trump claims doing so would be "inappropriate."

None

Birthers and die-hard fans of The Apprentice are in for some disappointment. Though he previously accepted the invitation to drive the pace car in this year's Indianapolis 500, Donald Trump has backed out of the publicity stunt. The real estate mogul/reality star has claimed that participating in the May 29th event would be "inappropriate" considering he "may be announcing shortly intention" to run for president—that or he's having problems facing his new public perception of being a huge, pompous racist.

No replacement driver has officially been named yet for the 100th anniversary of the All-American event, though word has it that it could be four-time Indy winner A.J. Foyt, if his busy schedule permits.
