2010-2011 NBA Season
.

25. Look Out Below!

DATE: 4/11/2011
COMPLEX SAYS: Just when Philadelphia point guard Jrue Holiday thought he had an easy rebound on the stat sheet, Dwight Howard comes out of nowhere to not only take away his board but also his dignity in the process. Where your kryptonite at, son?

24. Derrick Rose Loses Tyreke Evans

DATE: 11/27/2010
COMPLEX SAYS: First season, Rookie of the Year. Sophomore campaign, All-Star. Third year, MVP (yup, we said it). Derrick Rose is stepping his game up at a ridiculous rate, while still taking the time to school even younger ballers, one crossover at a time. Dude showed Tyreke Evans absolutely no California love with this ankle-breaker. Sacramento, where you at? (copyright Dr. Dre)

23. Randy Foye Breaks J.J. Redick's Ankles

DATE: 2/8/2011
COMPLEX SAYS: It's not a secret how much we hate those damn Blue Devils, which makes this ankle-breaker that much more satisfying. We love how the announcer immediately starts copping pleas for Redick: "I don't know if he slipped or fell." FOH, fam. Dude got juked. #theend

23. STAT Blocks LeBron

DATE: 2/27/2011
COMPLEX SAYS: Throughout the season, when the Heat needed a clutch shot from one of their Big Three, none of them could rise to the occasion. This time around, LeBron James had a good look for the game-winner, but Amar'e Stoudemire was having none of that. Bron Bron, you thought this was practice and that STAT was Chris Bosh a.k.a. Ru Paul?

21. DeAndre Jordan Spikes Beno Udrih's Shot

DATE: 12/6/2010
COMPLEX SAYS: People like to front on DeAndre Jordan and act like the Blake Griffin show is the only thing poppin' in Clipper nation. But D.J. has been doing his thing on both ends of the court this season. Word to John Brockman. Ouch.

20. Brandon Jennings Cuts Stephen Curry Up

DATE: 11/13/2010
COMPLEX SAYS: So, maybe this is why Stephen Curry's ankle never seems to heal. Brandon Jennings leaves dude in the dust and then makes the play even more hilarious by getting punched in the face by his own teammate. Ayo, Curry: Get a new orthopedic doctor and position yourself better on D, so that fails like this never happen again. #shookones

19. D-Rose's Between the Legs Dish to Joakim Noah

DATE: 2/28/2011
COMPLEX SAYS: This is just another addition to Derrick Rose's extensive 2010-11 highlight reel. Every great point guard knows how to make their teammates look good while stuntin' on the competition. J-Wall styles on 'em by doing the dougie before games, while Rose does it with ill plays during games. Relax and take notes, young'n...

18. Serge Ibaka Stuffs Blake Griffin

DATE: 4/2/2011
COMPLEX SAYS: Blake Griffin driving down the lane for a dunk usually means automatic emasculation of the defender. Not with Ibaka, though. Dude met the Poster Child above the rim and rejected his deposit. Plus, his first-round dunk from behind the free throw line >>> Griffin dunking over the hood of a car in the finale. #justsayin'

17. Melo Hits Game-winner vs. Grizzlies

DATE: 3/9/2011
COMPLEX SAYS: It's already known that New Yorkers aren't patient. So, Melo was lucky that it only took a couple weeks for him to start draining clutch shots like this game-winner. While he was plotting, the Grizzlies bench was heard yelling: "That shit's off!" Oh, really? Carmelo responded: "I do this!" Buckets.

16. Andre Iguodala Posterizes Brian Cardinal

DATE: 11/12/2010
COMPLEX SAYS: What is it with weak defenders trying to take charges in every situation? Word of advice: Look above, shit ain't worth it! A.I. took off like dude wasn't even there. Plus, Brian Cardinal looks like the type that takes pickup games way too seriously. Word to these dudes.

15. Tyreke Evans' Monster Jam Over Gary Neal

DATE: 4/6/2011
COMPLEX SAYS: Gary Neal played a few years out in Europe before joining the NBA, so his D is kind of soft. Pause. Evans took advantage of this by giving dude a facial which somehow ended with Evans' butt being in the Spurs guard's face. Neal, tell me how my ass tastes!

14. Ray Allen Breaks All-Time Three-Point Record

DATE: 2/11/2011
COMPLEX SAYS: One of the NBA's class acts (and the only bearable Celtic) broke Reggie Miller's three-point record of 2,560 against the Los Angeles Lakers in the Boston Garden. No one really knows how to stroke it from deep quite like Ray Ray. Ayo!

13. Ronnie Brewer Emasculates Josh McRoberts

DATE: 1/29/2011
COMPLEX SAYS: Brewer had a great poster dunk on McRoberts, but it's Stacey King's classic commentary that makes this play even more epic. "Don't try to run Josh McRoberts. We saw you and it's a poster. He tried to get out of the way Neil, he tried to act like it wasn't him, but I saw him!" Damn, Stacey King a.k.a. Slap Ya Favorite Announcer.

12. J.R. Smith's 360 Layup Against the Spurs

DATE: 12/22/2010
COMPLEX SAYS: The Spurs, for some reason, like to just stand there and try to take charges. J.R. Smith knows this, so he proceeds with a silky smooth 360 layup around the Big Fundamental. And San Antonio wonders why fans and players around the league don't respect them...

11. JaVale McGee Blocks Blake Griffin

DATE: 3/23/2011
COMPLEX SAYS: Javale McGee is obviously not a fan of the Blake Show. He also has no regard for showboatin' passes from scrubs like Chris Kaman (All-Star? FOH). Sidebar: Between Griffin, McGee, and D-Rose, light-skinned dudes are definitely making a statement in the league this year. No 'cism.

10. Kevin Love Drops 30 and 30 on the Knicks

DATE: 11/12/2010
COMPLEX SAYS: Kevin Love became the first player to record 30 points and 30 rebounds in a game since Moses Malone last did it, 28 years earlier. No worries Knicks fans, you can now start the countdown to Minnesota inexplicably trading Love or letting him slip away through free agency.

9. D-Rose's Vertical Leap Is Insane

DATE: 1/10/2011
COMPLEX SAYS: Anyone who watches Derrick Rose play knows he's capable of defying the laws of gravity. Such was the case here, when Ronnie Brewer threw it about two feet above the rim to D-Rose for the epic alley-oop. Ain't nothing wrong with getting high...on the court, that is.

8. Chris Paul's Crossover on Tony Parker

DATE: 1/22/2011
COMPLEX SAYS: Haters are speculating whether Chris Paul is still one of the best point guards in the league. All they need to do is ask Tony Parker if CP3 lost a step. Dude cuts Tony Parker up with one move and hits a J over his depleted body. This may be the biggest fuck-up of the season for the French guard. Oh wait, the eternally hot Eva Longoria dipped out on him? Our bad.

7. Ty Lawson Hits 10 Straight Three-Pointers

DATE: 4/9/2011
COMPLEX SAYS: This little dude has been balling out of his mind since the Melo trade and this is concrete evidence. Ty etched his name in the NBA record books with this performance, becoming the first player in history to start a game with 10 straight three-pointers. Now all homie has to do is stay away from those damn NBA groupies!

6. Tyreke Evans Answers Buzzer-Beater with His Own

DATE: 12/29/2010
COMPLEX SAYS: Word is the Sacramento Kings are moving to Anaheim next year and are going back to their old monicker, the Royals. For the time being, Tyreke Evans gave the raucous Arco crowd something to cheer about with this amazing display of cojones. Break out the cowbells!

5. JaVale McGee Blocks Wesley Matthews

DATE: 3/22/2011
COMPLEX SAYS: Give me that shit! JaVale McGee is the real life Dr. Octopus; too bad he plays for the lowly Wizards. An eerily similar type of play was made by LaPhonso Ellis years before. We only have one question: Should it be scored a block or mid-air steal? We say both.

4. J.R. Smith Nearly Kills Gary Neal

DATE: 12/16/2010
COMPLEX SAYS: Gary Neal of the Spurs saw J.R. Smith cutting towards the bucket with authority and figured, "Hey, I should take a charge here." Instead, he takes a well deserved knee to the face. C'mon, son! Didn't your momma teach you not to play in traffic?

3. 90-Foot Alley-oop From D-Wade to LeBron

DATE: 2/15/2011
COMPLEX SAYS: All throughout the year critics cited a lack of chemistry as the reason why the Big Three struggled in certain situations. We'll make things easy and just blame everything on Chris Bosh. Blessed is he who can stop these two monsters in the open court.

2. Blake Griffin Baptizes Mozgov and Gallinari

DATE: 11/20/2010
COMPLEX SAYS: The Poster Child a.k.a. the 2010-11 Human Highlight Reel, had a slew of dunks this year but none more vicious than these two monster jams he dropped on TImofey Mozgov and Danilo Gallinari. Now if we can just get him out of that cursed Clippers jersey...

1. Dwyane Wade Stunts on Kendrick Perkins

DATE: 3/16/2011
COMPLEX SAYS: Absolutely filthy. D-Wade displayed the perfect combination of finesse and raw aggression with this ill spin move and nasty flush afterward. Homie still runs Miami (sorry, Bron Bron) and will emasculate defenders if he has to. Just ask this dude.
