Shooter: Jerry West
Game: Game 3, 1970 NBA Finals
Trailing by two, looking down the barrel of a 2-1 series deficit, with three seconds left and no timeouts should've been enough to make even Mr. Clutch himself give up. But Jerry West heaved a desperate 45-footer that found the mark. If it were anyone else, it'd have been chalked up as a lucky shot. For West? Just another page to add to the legend. The only problem was the NBA didn't adopt the three-point line until 1979. The Lakers would go on to lose in overtime. Nice shot, though.
